Today is an extra special day for my family and our dogs... today is their birthday! Three years ago I was introduced to a litter of puppies; seven of them moved on to loving happy homes, but two remained. In the last three years I have learned and experienced so much and it’s all thanks to my two furry pit bull friends that go by the names Dozer and Theresa.
A maiden voyage to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah = epic expansion of the heart. Angel City Pit Bulls is honored to be a member of the No More Homeless Pets Coalition and NKLA, and to be aligned with the kind of people who founded this amazing place - a Mecca for animal lovers. The experience inspired me, and left me in great need of sharing with all of you, the very reasons I got there in the first place ...
Baby Blue and Baby Rose are about 7 weeks old and totally precious. They are available and will be vaccinated and spayed/neutered before adoption.
I met Mr. Bo Jingles in January, 2011. I read about his story, saw that face ... and, that was it. Next thing I knew, I was asking how I could find out about adoption ... and in particular, how I could adopt Bo ...
My name is Captain. Now, I know what you are thinking … how does a handsome guy like me, find the time to write a blog? It’s true, I’ll admit … my life is certainly busy. Being the debonair gentleman that I am, however, I must take the time to attend to my good manners and express my gratitude ...
Our inaugural yard sale last July was a huge success; it was also how I became a part of Angel City Pit Bulls. I had recently started following Angel City Pit Bulls on Facebook, and had fallen in love with a couple of their then adoptable dogs.
Grace is ready to go to her forever home. Come meet her tonight at the NoHo Dine-Out Friday Night Adoption Event or Sunday at our Adoption Event in the Park!
As a pit bull lover who makes her living in the world of entertainment, I am always delighted when I see a TV show (or movie, commercial, or print ad) that features a pit bull in the same way I see the breed: as a loving family companion. So, you can imagine my joy when the creators of the cartoon series on which I regularly work, Young Justice, presented me with designs for my character Artemis’ new doggie, who just so happened to be a pit bull.
When I think about Dove, I think words like "success", "resilient", and "inspiring". These are nice words to think but even better to live, and thanks to Dove, I have been living these words for the past four months.
This Sunday we are heading to Century City to participate in the Doggie Street Festival. We are very excited to be taking some of our dogs to the event with high hopes they will meet their new forever families.
