Our Adoption Process

Angel City Pit Bulls has dogs that fall under the generic term 'pit bull' who demonstrate stable, fun, people-oriented, outgoing personalities - making them fantastic family dogs. We have a wide range of energy levels, so whether you are looking for a running partner or a potential “therapy dog”, we will typically have a dog that will fit the bill.

Our goal is to provide adopters with the best possible adopter-dog match and we will work with you to find a dog that is right for your situation. Most of the ACPB dogs live in multi-dog foster homes, and enjoy the company of other well-matched dogs and some even with well-matched cats. We are happy to assist with family pet introductions.

To get started, we will ask that you fill out our brief questionnaire below and we'll set up a meet and greet for the dog(s) you are interested in. When you are ready to move forward with the adoption, we will arrange a home delivery to help you get settled in with the newest member of your family. Resources, support, and education are always available, and you can expect an extensive level of knowledge and support from ACPB for the lifetime of your dog.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and crate trained prior to adoption. We ask for an adoption fee of $250 for dogs over 6 months old, and $350 for a puppy under 6 months old. This non-taxdeductible contribution assists us in continuing our mission to help more dogs in need. We serve the Los Angeles area and parts of Southern California. Regrettably, we do not have the resources to adopt out of state.

Cole

Who's up for an adventure? Cole's ready and waiting for you to start the car up. This guy is all about the SoCal lifestyle and thinks that a long hike followed by a stop at a local brewery sounds just fabulous, thanks very much. He's ready to explore all that LA (and maybe Big Bear or Palm Springs? His words, not ours) has got to offer and is looking for a BFF to do it with.

Farfalla

Farfalla seriously brings the floopy, floppy Fang look that you'd normally see on the edge of the Forbidden Forest. And like Fang, she's nothing but good vibes. In fact, Farfalla is the life of ACPB playgroups. Catch her gamboling about with her BFFs. What she lacks in speed (her flaps aren't exactly aerodynamic), she makes up for in enthusiasm and endurance.

Beulah

Would you just look at this mystical being? Beulah has a medical condition that has resulted in the wacky unicorn-horn bump you see on her noggin. She's truly a magical creature, and her personality is as full of rainbows and sparkles as you might expect from such a being.

Toblerone

Toblerone and every single one of his forehead wrinkles is pleased to make your acquaintance. This dude is as smushy as his appears and is a Formula 1 cuddle machine. He loves to drape himself across a lap - perfect for staving off the chilly weather and binging GBBO for the fourth time even though you already know who wins! (He won't judge).

Papa Bean

Papa Bean is on the scene! This pit-bull-adjacent, long legged, long nosed fellow is our first Angel City Doberman and he’s making the most of the distinction. He’s a complete goofball and loves his family (that long nose is good for reminding you it’s time to pet him now). His happy, affectionate, bouncy, youthful energy is sure to have you laughing every day.

Vicki

XL puppy alert! Vicki is a sweet and shy giant who wants to live life on the mild side. She'll pass on your brunch reservations and trip to the farmer's market in favor of a good old lazy Sunday.

Mama Leone

We usually don't like to point out a lady's forehead wrinkles, but would you just LOOK at those charming and distinguished creases?! Mama Leone came to us with nine puppies in tow and while her babes have all gone home, she's waiting to meet her special someone(s).

Lina

Before we get started, please peep the attached photos for for a personality appeteezer. See what we're working with? Lina is a total party animal who's ready for ADVENTURE and FUN and WALKIES.

Johnny J

Johnny J's looking for a playmate, best friend, or whatever else you've got to offer! He's an easygoing guy who thinks you're (in the words of Bruno Mars) "amazing just the way you are."

Hazy

Hazy is best described as "Joy Personified." She's the happiest clam who greets her foster parents every morning like it's a reunion after a long trip. She radiates sunshine and good vibes at everyone she meets. Bad days stop as soon as Hazy shows up.
