Up For Adoption

Our Adoption Process

Angel City Pit Bulls has dogs that fall under the generic term 'pit bull' who demonstrate stable, fun, people-oriented, outgoing personalities - making them fantastic family dogs. We have a wide range of energy levels, so whether you are looking for a running partner or a potential “therapy dog”, we will typically have a dog that will fit the bill.

Our goal is to provide adopters with the best possible adopter-dog match and we will work with you to find a dog that is right for your situation. Most of the ACPB dogs live in multi-dog foster homes, and enjoy the company of other well-matched dogs and some even with well-matched cats. We are happy to assist with family pet introductions.

To get started, we will ask that you fill out our brief questionnaire below and we'll set up a meet and greet for the dog(s) you are interested in. When you are ready to move forward with the adoption, we will arrange a home delivery to help you get settled in with the newest member of your family. Resources, support, and education are always available, and you can expect an extensive level of knowledge and support from ACPB for the lifetime of your dog.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and crate trained prior to adoption. We ask for an adoption fee of $250 for dogs over 6 months old, and $350 for a puppy under 6 months old. This non-taxdeductible contribution assists us in continuing our mission to help more dogs in need. We serve the Los Angeles area and parts of Southern California. Regrettably, we do not have the resources to adopt out of state.

For more info or to inquire about adoption, please fill out an Angel City Adoption Questionnaire or contact the adoptions team at adopt@angelcitypits.org

Call yourself Sal because this little Blueberry is for you! If you're in the market for an accountability partner for those new years' fitness resolutions, Blueberry is here to hype you up and hit the trails. She preaches the benefits of an active lifestyle and likes to get her 10,000 steps with walkies (urban or nature) and playtime antics.

Babydog alert! Would you just look at this little ham of a child. She enjoys all the good puppy activities - walkies, romps, snacking, and hangs with her human and person pals.

Ever wish your favorite stuffy would come to life? Well Croissant is the softest, fluffiest teddy bear around. He's a goofy boy who loves to romp around with his dog friends until he's tired enough to zonk out.

Okay let's get it out of the way. "Thomas Shelby" is a very um.... grave name for a guy who essentially an animated teddy bear. Tommy is no Peaky Fookin Blindah, but he does certainly love his family more than anything in the world

Hey! Hi! Howdy! Energizer bunny Osha here!!! She might be a little wisp of a thing (relatively speaking), but what Osha lacks in size, she more than makes up for in vim and vigor.

Attention puppy people!! You're looking at the perfect combination of puppy goofiness and energy, but without all the "what does SIT even mean?!" chaos.

Hear ye! You've entered the realm of Princess Potato Pooch. Er, I mean Fifi. To be fair, her foster mom did describe Fifi's ideal job as "sole princess of her own empire," and frankly, we can see it. She expects to be fed chicken nuggets and fanned with a palm front while she lounges on a king sized bed, but belly rubs and treats are an acceptable compromise.

Shy girl Nika says hello! (Quietly, like a child peeking out from behind their mother's legs). While she's rather bashful upon first meeting, Nika's a real lover once she gets comfy. She gets right into the lap for hugs, gentle kisses, and positive affirmations. We recommend that her person remind her that she's beautiful, special, and divine at least thrice daily.

Clear a path! Miss Popular is coming through! Frittata absolutely loves the company of other pups and we think she'd like to live with a canine sibling or two. If it were an option, we'd have enrolled her in Girl Scouts ages ago, but apparently it's for HuMaNs OnLy. Whatever.

Rambo has exactly one mission in life and it's to live good. Good naps, good snacks, and extremely good spurts of gentle zoomies when the mood strikes. Just picture him driving a well-kept Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme to the 4:30 early bird dinner special for the finest steak and potatoes in town.
