Paisley, fka Lettie, has been adopted! The smiles in their family photo say it all, as this family was so excited about bringing little Paisley home, even though she didn't display her best behavior during their first meeting. They completely understood it was just a little puppy lunacy that could be managed with structure and training. Paisley is loving her new home!
Good things come to those who wait, and we waited a long time to announce that dapper Richie has been adopted! Richie was adopted and returned to us twice within a period of a couple of weeks, through no fault of his own. We just couldn't understand it: he's a big boy, but he is happy and silly and generally a pretty easy dog to manage. However, it became very clear to us and to his foster family why he kept coming back ... because he was meant to stay with his foster family!
When we took this photo (below) at the NKLA Super Adoption, Gina was exhausted and hadn't quite realized how her life was about to change. She was heading home ... forever! Her new people had been searching for the right dog for 5 months. They followed our dogs on Facebook and when they saw Gina they knew she was the one--and they were right!
Remember Ross, who had a total hip replacement last summer? Well we are happy to report that he has been adopted and has settled nicely into his new home--he even has a cat friend named Charlie to keep him company!
Lil Jeezy, formerly Jewel (wearing the pink camo in the photo below) has joined fellow ACPB alum Red in a loving forever home. You may recall Red's adoption from last year; he had always been a shy dog, but has come along way since he was adopted by his foster parents. Red's older sister passed away last summer, and he was a little sad about not having another dog around in the house. We knew Jewel was the perfect fit, so once Red's family let us know they were ready to meet her, we were thrilled to make the introduction, and they've been snuggle buddies ever since.
Ellie, fka Indie has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center. She has been enjoying the holidays with her new family, and we heard she had a blast opening up all those gifts! We are thrilled for Ellie and her family, and thank them for choosing to adopt.
Remember siblings Pudding and Parfait? They joined ACPB as young pups through the South LA Intervention program. Well, they are growing into beautiful young dogs with absolutely wonderful, loving families.

Olive, fka Pixie, has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! This goofy, affectionate girl with an adorable underbite stole the hearts of everyone who met her, and one lucky couple got to take her home forever. She was so happy with them she couldn't even sit still for her photo-op. Looks like they all hit the jackpot!
Nacho (fka Luke) has a nice warm cozy home for the holidays--he was adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! . He's even made it to the family Christmas card. Nacho is going to have a beautiful life with this adorable, loving family.
