Wilma's Success Story
Wilma's adoption story is particularly special for us at ACPB - repeat adopters with us, Wilma's mama is our Gratitude Coordinator, and this adoption story exemplifies the poem "A Dog's Last Will and Testament."
In April, ACPB alum Wilbur became an ACPB angel due to illness, and one month later his family said goodbye to their other 16 year old pit bull, Samoa. It was going to take time for this family to open their home to another dog after experiencing such loss in a short period of time, but Wilma came to ACPB at just the right time. They decided to foster her, and over the next couple weeks they couldn't imagine their lives without her. They were elated to sign her adoption papers, and welcome her to their family.
We know we cannot replace those we've lost, but we believe Wilma is giving her new family the love they need - and we are sure Wilbur and Samoa are smiling from above. Congratulations to Wilma and her family!
