Teddy Has Been Adopted

Teddy (fka Marty) has been adopted! Teddy's parents met and adopted him at the NKLA Pet Adoption Center. They were interested in adopting after their pit bull passed away, and they felt their house just wasn't the same without a dog. Our adoption coordinator suggested they check out the dogs at the center, where they met Teddy who had just checked in that morning. Teddy did his best to seal the deal on his adoption; he even fell asleep snuggling between them during the adoption counseling.

Teddy's parents are retired so he gets to hang out and assist in activities all day under their very careful supervision. He has been helping in the garden, as well as snuggling, taking afternoon siestas with his dad and learning about his feline siblings. They are eager for him to finish his rounds of vaccines so they can start obedience training and socialization. So far, he's already made visits to their local pet store, Home Depot and Starbucks. Teddy is working on his leash skills and has already mastered a perfect sit.

It has been quite some time since this family has had an energetic puppy around, but they love Teddy so much and couldn't be happier with his young, spunky and curious demeanor. They are such a sweet couple and Teddy is living the life!
