Gertie

Gertie has been adopted ... by her foster parents! Sara and Tyler came to ACPB looking to foster, but they didn't know that Gertie would steal their hearts. When they realized that simply thinking about the possibility of Gertie heading "home" with someone else made them sad, they knew she was already home with them.

Sometimes the rescue community will throw around the term "foster failure" when this type of decision occurs -- all in good fun of course. In the end, what we value most is that our dogs go to loving homes with committed people. Sometimes that means losing a great foster home, but a forever home is our ultimate goal. We are so happy Gertie found Sara and Tyler!
