We are thrilled to announce that Dahlia was adopted at our first Adoption Event of 2012 by one of our own member's family! She is loved and happy in her new home.

We met this gorgeous girl at the Baldwin Park Shelter and she absolutely melted us. She had been an owner surrender, brought in with 8 puppies- all of whom were incredibly fluffy and quickly adopted. However, as tends to happen, this sweet young mama was left alone and the volunteers at the shelter were heartbroken when her euthanasia date started fast approaching. They called us to talk about what a sweet, polite, loving girl she was and within minutes of meeting her, we understood why they were so in love.

December 11, 2011 was an amazing day!  Maggie, who is one of our longest residents, got to retire her Adopt Me bandana for good!  With happy tears we are thrilled to announce that Miss Maggie May has been adopted!!!  Many people have asked us why we've had her so long and now we see it was because she was right where she was supposed to be all along.  Maggie has been adopted by her foster daddy, an ACPB Volunteer who we love so much!

Jolene was adopted right around the holidays in 2011. Her new family had their first dog, Riley for just about a year and felt they were finally ready to get a sibling for him.

Babette, more commonly known as Pig was adopted in 2011 by a loving family who really appreciates her true beauty. You can see from her photos how truly gorgeous this little piggy is!

Jameson (fka Punkin) has become the total Hollywood player.  He resides in Hollywood and spends his time basking in the sun, hiking in the hills and living the life.  His mom tells us, "Jameson is the perfect little guy that has changed my life for the better and who is loved by everyone he meets. We knew the minute we met this guy that he was awesome!

Bodhi Bear (fka Handsome Dave) just loves his new forever home, with his amazing mom! He graduated from his training class with the honor of "Most Improved"!  Yay for Bodhi and his mom.  And, isn't he just so handsome?

Wilbur is a middle-aged, former yard dog who ended up in the shelter a second time as an owner surrender. Seemingly badass in his appearance, Wilbur's looks could not be more deceiving.  He is a gentle giant who loves to snuggle.  His amazing foster family couldn't bear the thought of living without him and made him a permanant part of their family.  This awesome guy is training to become a therapy dog and as a true ambassador to the breed, Wilbur melts the hearts of everyone he meets!

We first met Cooper at the Best Friends Super Adoption, where he was being showcased by the Pasadena Humane Society. He is an absolute gentleman and we ADORED him. Cooper has since been adopted and is doing great in his forever home!!

Olive's success story is so amazing... it got published in a 2 page spread in American Dog Magazine, in the Winter 2011 Pit Bull-centric edition! Check out the article online here, written by our very own Director of Fundraising, the awesome Eve-Marie.
