Success stories

Noah

Noah's new dad contacted us when he was looking for a running and hiking buddy, and we felt Noah was the perfect fit. Now settled with his family, Noah lives in a lovely home with a big backyard. They have been continuing training with Noah and are very happy to have him in the family - congratulations!

Harry

Harry's family met him at the NKLA Adoption Weekend event and decided to adopt this adorable guy. Harry is enjoying his new home where he's the center of attention. His new family thinks he is awesome and just the sweetest dog -- they even like napping with their very loud snoring boy.

Storm

Storm (fka Gilbert) has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! Storm's family visited the center looking to adopt a second dog for their family. He now lives with a canine sibling Cody; they love to lounge in the sun together, and Storm also enjoys cuddling with his human brother as well. His new family loves Storm a great deal, and feel he's the perfect fit for their household!

Mancha

Mancha (fka Lucas) has been adopted! Mancha's parents contacted us interested in adopting a puppy. We placed an adorable boy, Lucas, who we had just pulled from the East Valley Animal Shelter with them to see if he was a good fit for their family. It was only a few short days later when they confirmed he was there to stay.

Jelly

Jelly (fka Edie) has been adopted! Jelly's family completed an adoption questionnaire with us as soon as we put her on Petfinder. A meet and greet was arranged and the adoption was soon official! Jelly is settled in her new home which includes a playful small border collie mix. Jelly's family loves their new puppy and have been busy training and socializing her -- they even took a family trip to the beach!

Harvey

Harvey (fka Piglet) has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! Harvey's dad was interested in adopting a second dog and stopped by the center where he met and took home adorable little Harvey.

Bronco

Bronco (fka Luigi) has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! Bronco's new family visited the center with interest in adoption and met a few dogs. Chill and sweet Bronco happened to be their favorite so they took him home.

Edison

Edison (fka Trevor) has been adopted! Edison's mom met and adopted him at the NKLA Pet Adoption Center; his mom simply couldn't resist his boyish puppy charms. Edison is settled in his home which includes a canine sister named Gypsy -- she's an 11 year old greyhound/shepherd mix. They get along great and he has integrated beautifully into his home.

Poptart

Poptart's dad completed an adoption application with us. He was looking for a dog he could travel with and take on outings. He had a few of our dogs on his list - we all agreed that Poptart was the right dog for him.

Boscoe

Boscoe was found as a stray by a good samaritan who reached out to us for help. On our advice, Boscoe was taken to the West LA Shelter to give him a chance to be reunited with his previous family. However, we had just adopted out a few dogs and had an open spot, so when no one stepped forward to claim him, he officially joined our program.
