Nancie

Nancie found her forever home right in the heart of Los Angeles - Dodger Town! She now lives in the hills of Echo Park where she sunbathes on her back deck, hikes in Elysian Park, and howls along with the cheering baseball fans.

Maggie

Maggie, formerly known as Freda has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! We think it's pretty clear from the below photos, this sweet girl is getting the love and care she deserves. Congrats to all, and thanks for choosing adoption!

Poe

One more post to remind us that scary fireworks aside, Independence Day was a good day, especially for Poe who was adopted by his foster family! We are so happy to see Poe in a loving home this 4th of July. Thank-you to his wonderful foster parents for helping him get healthy and falling in love with him.

Mango

Mango, formerly Cali has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! This gorgeous lady might hold the record for our quickest adoption ever. We met her at the North Central shelter and fell for her good looks and personality to match. She left North Central, made a pit stop at her foster home, headed to the center -- and was adopted in less than 24 hours!

Kiki

Kiki has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! She and her new mom are enjoying going on lots of walks together, which is great for Kiki since she came to us quite overweight. She's also a fabulous leash walker, which makes mama happy! Congratulations to everyone!

Molly

Molly, formerly Iris has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! She is having a fabulous time in her new home, and they've even started her own Instagram account @dwarfador.

Kygo

Kygo, fka Popeye has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! His dad fell in love the second he saw him (we did too) and couldn't wait to bring this big puppy home to include him in his very active lifestyle. Kygo is really enjoying all of his activities. Congrats, and thanks so much for opening your home to a rescued dog!

Gus

Little did Siobhan know when she moved out to Los Angeles last fall that she'd be falling in love in such a short time. She was quickly swept up in our marathon running fervor, and helped us make it our biggest fundraiser ever. She also became a regular volunteer at the South LA Animal Shelter, where she made a difference for A LOT of dogs. Then she met Gus and decided to foster him.

Declan

Declan, fka Boone, has been adopted into the most wonderful loving home. They said it was love at first sight for them (look at those ears!), and we have to admit, we felt the same way right back! Declan is learning so much and we can't wait to see what this little ambassador will be doing once he's all grown up!

Jax

Jax, fka Smudge has been adopted into a wonderful family! Shortly before his adoption, they were "warned" by some co-workers that a pit bull would be dangerous to have around their young daughter. As frustrating as this is to hear, it's not the first time some of our alumni have come to us with a story like this, often coming from trusted sources such as family and friends.
