Welcome To Our Blog!
Greetings! Welcome to our first official Angel City Pit Bulls BLOG!!! We are so excited to be unveiling our new website and could not be more grateful to the team of professional volunteers who spent their time, gave their energy, and shared their talents to make it all possible. As you know, our group operates entirely on donations and we are completely volunteer run, so putting this site together was no small feat :-) That said, we think it's a fabulous new hub for us on the internet and we plan to make this blog a huge part of it, too.
Anywho- I wanted to introduce myself to you all- as I am going to be a frequent contributor to this blog, but in no way are all the posts going to be coming from me! My name is Stephanie, and I am the Communications Director here at ACPB. I am a writer and actress in Los Angeles and have always loved animals… especially dogs. I am also the proud mama of two pit bull type dogs (or "terrier blends" as the awesome Mike Arms likes to call them) named Bruce & Stan- and together with my husband- we have rescued and fostered more pretty pitties than we can count. We feel very blessed to be a part of the ACPB village, which is truly made up of some of the very best people I know. The volunteers, donors, foster families, adoptive families, and everyone in between are a wonderful blend of passionate, compassionate, selfless, FUNNY, and caring- and I am so proud to call so many my dear, dear friends.
Over the coming weeks (months! years!) we will be featuring blog entries from all of those wonderful people- so that you may share in the ups and downs of rescue right alongside us. One thing is for sure- there is always SOMETHING interesting going on; well, let's be honest- usually too many things :-) Our hope is that this blog will serve to remind everyone just how much we are in this together. Anyone who loves dogs- and pit bulls in general- will relate, with the common goal of course that we will motivate, teach, and inspire one another, as we work towards a better future for pit bulls and their loving, responsible owners/guardians/families, here in our city, and beyond. As always, thank you for caring and sharing our mission.
