Every day is a great day in Junie’s book! In the morning, she bounces out of her crate and to the front door, eagerly awaiting her morning walk. Once you’re home, she’s even happier, because that means the snuggles are about to begin! This girl is a cuddle queen, and will happily take the place of that weighted blanket you've been eyeing. She also is a great WFH buddle and enjoys listening in on Zoom calls with curiosity. She’s as sweet as can be and loves belly rubs, pets, and cuddles. Seriously--Junie joined our program after being hit by a car and had some nasty wounds requiring routine dressing changes. Other dogs might have gotten tired of the frequent poking and prodding, but Junie made a name for herself for happily flopping down for what she thought were extended belly rub sessions from our medical team!

Junie has been a fantastic walking buddy for her strolls around the neighborhood. At home, she’s a superstar when it comes to tricks--she learned Sit, Down, Shake, and Roll Over all in a week! She’s eager to please and a quick study. She also doesn’t snub her nose at a fun toy here or there. Junie is doing very well in her calm and quiet foster home where she can take meeting new people at her pace. Once she gets to know you, you will know you’re loved in Junie’s book! And, if she were to design her ideal home, she’d like to request a cozy dog bed or couch privileges, too--all this cuddling is hard work!

Junie is making great progress on the social scene in playgroups. She could potentially go home with another well matched dog with a slow intro, but would also be perfectly happy as your one and only.

About 3 years old and 50 pounds, Junie is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and knows her basic commands.
